About ScrapingEvals
ScrapingEvals helps developers choose scraping software and services by showing the work behind a result: which page, which setup, what returned, and why it did or did not count.
Our relationship to ScrapeDrive
The people building ScrapingEvals also build ScrapeDrive, a hosted scraping product. That is a conflict worth making visible. ScrapeDrive appears by name in the provider inventory and in a field note; it does not get a free pass or a score without a comparable, published test.
What the labels mean
“Listed” means we know the project belongs in the inventory. “Historical test” means a public attempt record exists, but it is old. “Recent field test” means a newer run exists, not that the tool is universally best. Passive field notes never enter a benchmark ranking.
Affiliate links
We do not currently use affiliate links in the inventory. If that changes, affected links will be labelled. Payment or ownership will not determine target choice, test settings, validation rules, or what failures we publish.
What remains to do
The May 2026 open-source records need a fresh, paired rerun with controlled proxies. Hosted providers need a separate, costed benchmark. We will keep old results dated and leave unknowns unknown until those runs exist.
Start with the software inventory, inspect a test, or read the method.
